FAQs

  • There are no rules as to when you should start a hypnobirthing course. There are some things to practice in the run up to birth, so starting it early can give you the opportunity to do this. Most people start at between 20-35 weeks, but the option is yours.

If you find hypnbirthing after 35 weeks, you may wish to choose the intensive course, which is a condensed version of the full course.

  • Each course runs differently.

The full, private course runs over 4x2/2.5 hour sessions. Whereas the intensive course runs over 1x4 hour session. These can always be changed to meet your needs.

The group hypnobirthing course runs for 2x4 hour sessions, on both a Saturday and Sunday, in one weekend.

  • Do not panic! I know that life can happen and things get in the way, so please just let me know if this is the case. You can do this via email, message or phone.

I will do my best to get you moved onto another course for that session and provide you with all of the information needed.

Alternatively, you may be sent a recording of that session.

  • Of course!

Although we do encourage birth partners to attend, as they will learn all of the information to best support you throughout your pregnancy and birth. However, we understand it is not always possible due to work/life commitments.

We are able to tailor the activities for anyone attending on their own, so please do not worry about this.

  • Prior to the course starting, you will be given an interactive booklet which covers everything we will go through. As tempting as it may be to read this cover to cover, try to hang fire until the course, as it may feel a bit daunting or overwhelming without context.

You will also receive some powerful hypnobirthing audios and a hypnobirthing pack, full of items to help you have a positive birth experience.

These will be sent to you prior to the course starting, or given out on the day if you are attending an in person course.

  • You will have my on-going support to ensure you feel confident going into your birth. If you have any questions, please do get in touch.

You will also have the option to join our Facebook group, where people can post their positive birth stories and there will be opportunity for questions. The page will be monitored to ensure it stays a worry free zone.

I will also arrange optional meet ups for hypnobirthing parents who wish to connect and go on play dates or walks in the postpartum period. Sometimes parenthood can be lonely, so staying in touch can be helpful.
